Laminated Safety Glass

Laminated Safety Glass

Laminated Glass is made up of two or more layers of glass permanently fused together through heat and pressure with an interlayer. The lamination process provides protection from injury caused if the glass breaks. If broken, the laminated glass sticks to the interlayer and generally stays within the frame.
Barton Glass produces a variety of different laminated glass products using different glass and interlay options. The most common laminated glass lines include:

  • Clear Laminated
  • White Translucent
  • Soft White Translucent

Laminated Glass must be used in certain critical locations a outlined in Australian Standards AS1288.
